Chrome Dev

Chrome Dev for Android

Chrome Dev is an early-release version of Google’s Chrome browser for Android. It is aimed at people who want to try browser changes before they reach the more established Chrome channels, and who are comfortable with occasional rough edges while features are still being developed.

Who it suits

This edition makes the most sense for curious users, developers, testers, and anyone who wants a closer look at where Chrome for Android is heading. It provides a way to explore newer work and send feedback while that work is still being shaped. If you rely on a browser for predictable day-to-day use, a less experimental Chrome channel may be a better fit.

What to expect

• Access to early Chrome features and changes on Android.
• A testing environment where some behaviour may still be unfinished.
• An opportunity to share feedback that can help improve Chrome for Android.
• It can be used alongside other Chrome channels on the same Android device.

At a glance

Chrome Dev is published by Google LLC and listed in the Communication category. It has a rating of 4.33 out of 5 from more than 202,000 reviews, with 10,000,000+ installs. Those figures show broad interest, but they do not change the app’s main purpose: giving users an earlier, less polished view of Chrome’s ongoing development.
