YouTube TV: Live TV & more

Live television without a cable box

YouTube TV: Live TV & more is a streaming television service for viewers in the United States who want live broadcast, cable, sports, news, and entertainment channels in one app. It suits households replacing traditional cable, as well as people who want to watch on a phone, tablet, computer, or compatible television.

Channels for sports, news, and entertainment

The service includes more than 100 networks, with availability varying by location and membership. Depending on your area, you may find local ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, and PBS stations alongside channels such as CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, ESPN, NFL Network, HGTV, Food Network, AMC, TNT, TBS, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, and PBS Kids. YouTube TV is also the home of NFL Sunday Ticket for eligible out-of-market Sunday games.

Cloud DVR and household profiles

A cloud DVR lets you record live programmes without managing physical storage. Recordings remain available for nine months. One household can use up to six accounts, giving each person a separate login, recommendations, and DVR library. That makes the app more practical for families with different viewing habits.

Membership details and app record

YouTube TV uses a month-to-month paid membership rather than a long-term cable contract. Members can cancel at any time, while subscriptions renew automatically unless renewal is disabled before the next billing period. Developed by Google LLC, the app has a 3.83/5 rating from more than 156,000 reviews and has recorded 10,000,000+ installs. It is a sensible choice for US viewers who prioritise live programming and recording over a conventional cable setup.
